We had been secretly planning the proposal with the future groom for several weeks. He is originally from Mexico and wasn't familiar with Albuquerque, so we were happy to help him with the details. We explained how to get to Balloon Fiesta Park, where to meet us, and what to expect so he could focus on the most important part—proposing to the love of his life!
An Early Morning Worth Every Minute
Balloon Fiesta mornings start early! We left around 4:30 a.m. to arrive by approximately 6:00 a.m. because traffic can get extremely heavy.
It was early, but we were so excited—and it was completely worth it.
When the moment finally came, she had no idea what was about to happen.
He proposed, and her reaction was absolutely beautiful. She was weeping tears of happiness, completely overwhelmed with love and emotion. Afterward, she kept gazing at her engagement ring in shock, almost as if she couldn't believe it was real.
Those genuine reactions are exactly why we love photographing surprise proposals.
